You should not have to coordinate a parts supplier, suspension installer and engineer separately. Our complete service brings the process together:

1. Review your vehicle, intended use and proposed wheel and tyre package.
2. Confirm an eligible Superior Engineering kit and required supporting components.
3. Supply the correct kit for the accepted vehicle specification.
4. Professionally install the complete suspension package.
5. Complete the required measurements, inspection and testing.
6. Issue the applicable VASS certification documentation when the finished vehicle complies.

This approach helps avoid incompatible components, duplicated labour and modifications that cannot be certified as presented.

Post-registration 3-inch lift certification in Victoria

A high-lift suspension package and larger tyres can affect steering, braking, handling, electronic stability control, clearances and compliance. The pathway depends on much more than the advertised lift height.

We review the exact vehicle, Superior Engineering kit, wheel and tyre combination, existing modifications and supporting evidence before accepting a build. Where the completed vehicle complies and falls within our authorised scope, VASS documentation may be issued following the required assessment, inspection and testing.

Nissan Patrol GQ and GU 3-inch lift packages

We accept enquiries for eligible Superior Engineering 3-inch suspension packages for Nissan Patrol GQ and GU vehicles. Our initial review considers:

• Exact model, body type, build date and ESC fitment.
• Superior Engineering kit name and part number.
• Springs, shocks, radius arms and caster correction.
• Steering, sway-bar, brake-line and driveline components.
• Wheel and tyre specifications.
• Existing chassis, body, suspension and driveline modifications.

A 3-inch component or partial kit is not automatically a certifiable complete package. Contact us before ordering parts.

Updated 2022-on LandCruiser 76, 78 and 79 Series

We accept enquiries for eligible Superior Engineering suspension packages up to a maximum 3-inch lift on selected updated or facelift Toyota LandCruiser 76, 78 and 79 Series vehicles from the applicable 2022-on build range.

Vehicle variants and kit approvals differ. Eligibility must be confirmed using the VIN, build date, body style, engine, Victorian registration status and exact kit number.

LandCruiser 35-inch tyre combinations

Selected LandCruiser packages may support a nominated 35-inch tyre specification as part of the complete assessed combination. Suspension approval does not automatically approve every tyre sold as a 35-inch tyre.

We must confirm the exact tyre size and construction; wheel diameter, width, offset and load rating; tyre load and speed ratings; guard coverage and clearances; speedometer operation; axle and vehicle ratings; and compatibility with the supporting kit evidence.

Do not purchase wheels, tyres or suspension components until the complete proposed specification has been reviewed.

Victorian road-use notice: Superior Engineering offers products across a broad range of lift heights. M Carter Automotive’s VASS pathway is limited to eligible combinations with a maximum 3-inch suspension lift. Larger kits are shown as off-road-use or enquiry options and are not offered through our Victorian road-registration certification service.

Our supply, installation and VASS process

1. Send us your vehicle details and explain how the vehicle will be used.
2. We review its registration status, current modifications and available evidence.
3. We confirm and quote the eligible kit, supporting parts, installation and assessment.
4. M Carter Automotive supplies and professionally installs the agreed package.
5. The completed vehicle is inspected and any required testing is performed.
6. Certification documentation is completed only when the vehicle satisfies the applicable requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Can every Superior Engineering lift kit be VASS certified?

No. Eligibility depends on the exact vehicle, kit, supporting components, modification scope and available evidence. The finished vehicle must also pass the required inspection and testing.

Can you certify a Nissan Patrol GQ or GU with a 3-inch lift?

We can assess eligible Superior Engineering GQ and GU packages. The complete kit, tyre size, existing modifications and vehicle condition must be reviewed before acceptance.

Can you certify 35-inch tyres on a 2022-on 70 Series LandCruiser?

We can assess eligible updated 76, 78 and 79 Series combinations with a suspension lift no greater than 3 inches where the exact kit and nominated wheel and tyre specification are supported. This is not blanket approval for every 35-inch tyre or every 70 Series variant.

Can you certify a 4-inch suspension lift in Victoria?

No. M Carter Automotive limits this Victorian certification pathway to a maximum 3-inch (75 mm) suspension lift.

Should I buy the lift kit before contacting you?

No. We can confirm and supply the appropriate Superior Engineering package as part of the complete service. Incompatible or incomplete components can make certification impossible or unnecessarily expensive.

Does VASS certification automatically increase GVM, GCM or towing capacity?

No. Suspension height, tyres, GVM, GCM and towing capacity are separate matters. Only items within the documented and assessed modification scope can be considered.
